At NRM, we understand that all gardens and public spaces are not designed the same; therefore, they shouldn’t be maintained the same.  We begin each account with a property assessment that allows us to better understand the intricacies of each site, which allows for better overall plant and garden management.  Assessment services include:

Garden Management

We believe that a garden is a living, breathing organism with its own unique collection of plants, insects, soils, animals, micro-environments, geology, and guests.  Our attention to plant health and finding joy in detailed work is just one way that separates us from other landscape contractors.  Garden management services NRM provides:

Organic Services

We recognize the negative effects that synthetic chemicals have on the health of the environment, people, and pets.  Conventional landscapers use synthetic chemicals that sterilize soil activity and that only feeds the plant, which weaken the plant’s defenses to insects and diseases. By utilizing organic land care strategies, the soil becomes enhanced with natural activity which strengthens the root system and the plant, creating a stronger defense system against insects and diseases.  Organic services include:

  • OMRI-listed organic herbicide

  • Adhering to the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) Standards for Organic Land Care Manual

  • Mitigating soil disturbance through cutting weed flowers, seed heads, and plant at base

  • Implementation of beneficial insects (reduces the use of synthetic pesticide use)

 

Battery-operated Equipment

At NRM, we take a holistic approach to garden management, considering the effects that our strategies and practices have on all aspects of an ecosystem, including the quality of air and the overall guest experience.  In order to reduce carbon emissions and our dependence of fossil fuels, NRM utilizes battery-operated equipment in our services.   The operation of this equipment significantly reduces noise pollution, making for a more enjoyable experience for your guests, patrons, or tenants.
