Polystichum acrostichoides, also known as a Christmas Fern, gets its name because it stays green through the holiday season. Often used as groundcover, it is a clumping fern and does not form a continuous carpet the way other ferns do.
Christmas fern is very easy to establish and grow where conditions are right. It’s best grown in organically rich, dry to medium-moisture, well-drained soils in partial to full shade.
Perennials
Height: 1.50 to 2.00 ft (occasionally 3 feet tall)
Sun: Full to Part Shade
Water: Medium
