Solidago ulmifolia, also known as Elm-leaved Goldenrod, is a perennial herb native to North America. It is recognized for its attractive foliage and vibrant golden-yellow flowers. The plant typically grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet (60 to 90 cm). The flowers are arranged in dense, elongated clusters at the top of the stems and bloom from late summer to early fall. Elm-Leaved Goldenrod performs best in full sun, but it can also tolerate partial shade. This plant prefers well-drained soil, which can be sandy, loamy, or clay-based. It is adaptable to various soil types but benefits from soil that does not remain waterlogged.
